DaysGain Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 20, 2026
DaysGain is a personal portfolio tracking app designed to help you record accounts, holdings, transactions, dividends, and related portfolio information.
This Privacy Policy explains what information DaysGain stores, what information may be synced through iCloud, what information may be sent to third-party services, and how your data is handled.
1. Information You Enter
DaysGain may store information you enter in the app, including:
- Account names, account types, institutions, and owner labels
- Securities, tickers, transactions, prices, fees, deposits, withdrawals, notes, and CSV-imported records
- App preferences such as display currency, language, and market color style
This information is stored locally on your device using Apple’s local app storage.
DaysGain does not require a DaysGain account and does not upload your portfolio records to a DaysGain server.
2. iCloud Sync and Backup
DaysGain may offer optional iCloud sync and backup.
If you enable iCloud Sync, your DaysGain data, including accounts, securities, transactions, cash activity, app preferences, and related portfolio records, may be uploaded to your private iCloud account and synced across your Apple devices through Apple’s CloudKit/iCloud services.
DaysGain does not operate its own portfolio data server for iCloud Sync. iCloud data is handled by Apple under Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policies.
If you turn off iCloud Sync, DaysGain will stop syncing new data to iCloud from that device. Existing data already stored in iCloud may not be deleted automatically and may be managed through your Apple ID, iCloud, device, and app data settings.
3. Market Data Requests
To provide quotes, historical prices, dividend data, split data, and forecasts, DaysGain may request market data from third-party data providers.
These requests may include information such as:
- Ticker symbols
- Market identifiers
- Requested date ranges
- Basic network information automatically involved in internet requests, such as IP address, which may be visible to the data provider
DaysGain does not intentionally send your account names, owner names, transaction notes, full portfolio records, or CSV files to market data providers.
Third-party data providers process requests under their own privacy policies.
4. CSV Import and Export
CSV import and export are handled locally on your device.
When you import a CSV file, DaysGain reads the file to create or update records in the app.
When you export data, DaysGain creates a CSV file for your own use.
DaysGain does not automatically upload imported or exported CSV files to a DaysGain server.
5. Feedback and Support
If you contact us by email or through a support link, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as:
- Your email address
- Message content
- Screenshots
- Diagnostic details
We use this information only to respond to support requests, troubleshoot issues, and improve DaysGain.
Please do not include sensitive personal or financial information in support messages unless you choose to do so.
6. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
DaysGain does not use third-party advertising SDKs.
DaysGain does not sell your personal information.
DaysGain does not track you across apps or websites for advertising purposes.
DaysGain may use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage, improve reliability, and prioritize product improvements.
Analytics events may include app launches, screen views, feature usage, settings changes, CSV import/export status, iCloud sign-in or sync-related actions, app language, display currency, market filter selections, app version, device or operating system information, and similar diagnostic or usage information.
DaysGain does not intentionally send your account names, owner names, transaction notes, ticker-level portfolio records, portfolio values, CSV file contents, or full transaction history to Firebase Analytics.
If Apple provides crash reports, diagnostics, or App Store analytics to the developer, that information is handled through Apple’s developer tools and policies.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Your portfolio data remains on your device unless you:
- Delete records inside DaysGain
- Export or share data
- Enable iCloud Sync
- Back up your device
- Remove the app from your device
You can delete app data by deleting records in DaysGain or uninstalling the app from your device.
Data included in iCloud Sync or device backups may be managed through Apple’s iCloud, backup, device, and app data settings.
8. Children’s Privacy
DaysGain is not designed for children and is not intended to collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and publish the revised policy.
